In October: Healing Practice, Joyful Community, Exquisite Nature!
Open Sky Retreats
The Open Sky Retreats form the centerpiece of the work Julian is creating. This long weekend seamlessly blends these elements:
- Personal time to get grounded through periods of “noble silence in community.”
- Introductory instruction in vipassana (insight) meditation.
- Innovative and healing Deep Stretch and Flow Yoga based on the anotomical and energetic principles of Core Sequencing/Open Sky work.
- Dance, Healing Breath work, and Community Fire Circle.
- Free time to hike, swim, jacuzzi, or do absolutely nothing at all!
- Optional Core Sequencing/Open Sky Bodywork sessions
An opportunity to relax, renew, connect to community, and deepen your practice, the retreat is Thursday afternoon/evening, October 11th, through Sunday afternoon, October 14th, 2007.
Come away for 3 nights and 3 days to a stunningly beautiful location in Ojai! The main house is one of the five historic craftsman locations in the country. It’s a nationally recognized property and is absolutely picturesque, filled with beautiful antique wood furniture, and feels really relaxing, comfortable and luxurious. The land is gorgeous and features mango, lemon and orange trees, a big ceremonial fire circle, hiking trails, a large oval pool and a salt water jacuzzi.
The large free-standing yoga studio features huge East-facing picture windows with a breathtaking view, a beautiful mural over the fireplace, and dark wood floors.
Don’t miss this one! Here's how to reserve your Open Sky Retreat space!

Hi Julian, Looks great, and it looks like you are doing great work and are attracting and no doubt benefiting many people. Thanks again for initiating, organizing and facilitating the symposium on kundalini, etc.! It was great (though kind of exhausting for me to keep up with everything everyone wrote, and by the time I'd read everything I had little time or energy left for making comments, but c'est la vie). Keep up the good work!
Jim
PS, Having operated a bookstore specializing in spiritual and transformational books and other stuff, and having worked directly with Sounds True Audio out of Boulder, I think you'd be a natural to have something published and marketed by them on CD and/or DVD. I just wanted to mention that.
thanks so much jim - i am looking into that and any tips/contacts would be awesome!
come on retreat….. :O)
Hey Julian! I'm very interested in this, but you have no mention of what the meals will be like? Is it all vegan? Will I be able to eat vegan if it is not all?
Also, do you have any work study available, i.e. can I work in the kitchen for a discount?
Please email me directly about this. I'd love to go! eatveggiestoday@yahoo.com
